Changes to the way we are working

The surgery has changed the way it is working in line with Government guidelines and has actively reduced the footfall upon the surgery to reduce the risk of patients and our staff contracting the virus. To ensure that we continue in the same manner and comply with guidance, we will actively encourage patients to;

1. Create an account on Engage Consult (see the link and instructions further down the page)

2. Use Engage Consult to request prescriptions, appointments, submit medical request or queries, however' please avoid calling the surgery during 8am -10am and 1:00pm - 2:00pm

3. Nominate your pharmacy on line, alternatively you can call to nominate - this will allow your prescriptions to be electronically dispatched. It will also prevent you calling into the surgery to collect them, unless you need to nominate a pharmacy.

4. If you have an urgent query, then please call the surgery, alternatively you can submit this request via engage consult (please allow up 48 hrs for a response, however there will be periods where we can respond quicker). If you need an appointment, the surgery staff will triage query over the telephone, this is to ensure that you are directed to the correct GP, Nurse Practitioner or clinical staff member.

Staff will continue to  triage all queries to ensure that patients receive the correct care, this will be a telephone consultation. video call or F2F appointment. Please ensure that your mobile phone is to hand at all times, as no time slot can be give for a return call from the clinical team.
If you are invited in for a F2F consultation the following rules apply upon arrival:
Patients are asked to wear a facemask
Patients will be asked to use the hand sanitisers on thw walls, these electronical dispense solution
Please take a seat and wait to be called. A clinician will take your temperature before you come through into the surgery

All patients who suspect they have coronavirus MUST NOT COME TO THE SURGERY!, call NHS 111 from home, book a test, ensure that you and your household self isolate - follow the rules for test and trace.

Please bear with the staff whilst we continually navigate through these unprecedented times and continuously changing situations. We are constantly up dating the way we work in line with guidance and direction from NHS England and the Government.

The surgery is working extremely hard hard with the NHS England, the CCG and the GP federation to ensure that we offer the Flu vaccine to all those patients eligible in a safe and controlled environment. The surgery is not able to offer clinical slots daily for routine flu vaccinations, but we are contacting all eligible patients and offering them a specific date. Please wait for the surgery to contact you, if you are in the groups below.

Eligible patients:

Those patients aged 65 years or over

Patients in the 18-64 years with long term health conditions such as (COPD, Heart disease, Asthma etc).

Children aged 6 months to 17 years with long term health conditions

Children aged 2 -3 on the 31 Aug 2020 who are well

Children who attend schools will be offered a flu vaccine whilst in school, the surgery will not be able to vaccinate any children without long term health conditions.

If your child has a long term health condition and is offered a flu vaccine in school, it may prevent the need to attend the surgery.
