CORONAVIRUS INFORMATION AND UPDATES

In response to the recent up dates, if you or a member of your familiy have a new continuous cough, high fever, temperature, altered taste, smell, then you are to now self-isolate for 10 days - all those living with you will need to self-isolate for 14 days. Changes to the way we are working

The surgery has changed the way it is working in line with Government guidelines and has actively reduced the footfall upon the surgery to reduce the risk of patients and our staff contracting the virus. To ensure that we continue in the same manner and comply with guidance, we will actively encourage patients to;

1. Create an account on Engage Consult (see the link and instructions further down the page)

2. Use Engage Consult to request prescriptions, appointments, submit medical request or queries, however' please avoid calling the surgery during 8am -10am and 1:00pm - 2:00pm

3. Nominate your pharmacy on line, alternatively you can call to nominate - this will allow your prescriptions to be electronically dispatched. It will also prevent you calling into the surgery to collect them, unless you need to nominate a pharmacy.

4. Telephone the surgery if you have a query, alternateivley you can submit this request via engage consult (please allow up 48 hrs for a response, however there will be occassions where we can respond quicker). If you need an appointment, the surgery staff will conduct triage, this is to ensure that you are directed to the correct GP, Nurse Practitioner or clinical staff member.

Total triage will continue to ensure that patients receive the correct care, this will be a telephone consutlation. video call or F2F appointment. Please ensure that your mobile phone is to hand at all times, as no time slot can be give for a return call from the clinical team.
If you are invited in for a F2F consultation the following rules apply:
Come to the surgery via the main doors nearest the carpark. There is a wall mounted talk system, where you press the buzzer twice for the surgery staff. (please be patient as the staff may be on the phones).
A staff member will then invite you to come in, via the entrance, (do not allow anyone to follow you), you will be asked to use hand sanitizer and a face mask. Please take a seat and wait to be called.

All patients who suspect they have coronavirus MUST NOT COME TO THE SURGERY!, call NHS 111 from home, book a test, ensure that you and your household self isolate - follow the rules for test and trace.

Please bear with the staff whilst we continually navigate through these unprecedented times and continuously changing situations. We are constantly up dating the way we work inline with guidance and direction from NHS England and the Government.
