Flu Vaccination 2018

Following new national guidance, the surgery will be providing one type of vaccine for patients aged 65 years and over and a different type of vaccine for patients aged under 65 years who have a long term condition or are at risk.

We will therefore have separate drop in sessions for those aged 65 years and over to those aged under 65.

The Department Of Health recommend Seqirus Adjuvenated vaccine as being most effective for those aged 65 years and over and Quadrivalent flu vaccine for patients under 65 years of age.

The Surgery will be providing these recommended vaccines. This may not always be the case elsewhere and other organisations , pharmacies and supermarkets may offer different vaccines.

We ask that you consider your options and be aware of this when when choosing where to have your vaccination.
